NBC's "Great Getaways" Showcases Vacation Packages and Gives Tour Operators Direct Access to Consumers....See It, Click It, Book It!

 
SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - October 22, 2009) - Tour operators will star in a new television program produced by NBC Bay Area and www.tours.com. Maria Polk, President and CEO of www.tours.com, proudly announces the debut of "Great Getaways," a 30-minute televised showcase of vacation packages allowing tour operators direct access to consumers.
 
"Great Getaways" is a unique direct marketing venture enabling viewers who want to experience a televised offering to "See It, Click It, Book It" though www.tours.com, home of the worldwide directory of tour operators since 1995.
 
Broadcasting to a substantial Bay Area audience in the nation's fifth largest and most affluent television market, "Great Getaways" will feature travel destinations and activities corresponding with popular holiday and vacation seasons. "Great Getaways" will air following such classic NBC network programs as "Meet the Press," "The Today Show," "Martha Stewart," as well as event coverage including the PGA Tour.
The program will be rebroadcast on participating channels to ensure maximum market exposure. "Great Getaways" also will be integrated into podcast technology via iTunes, a major marketing innovation.
