WhereDaily News: L2 Consulting Services, Inc. Receives FAA Approval for Amended SmartRunway(R) and SmartLanding(R) RAAS Supplemental Type Certificate on 767 Series Aircraft

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - Nov 18, 2013) - L2 Consulting Services, Inc. (L2) announced that the company has successfully completed an amended Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) process for the installation of the enhanced Honeywell Runway Awareness and Advisory System (RAAS) on 767 series aircraft. The L2 owned STC (#ST10466SC), was revised to include a PN -236-236 software enhancement hosted in the Mark V Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (known as SmartLanding® & SmartRunway®). The revision also included a new "INOP" (inoperable) annunciation along with existing "OVRD" (override) functions. Overall, the system provides alerts that supplement flight crew awareness of aircraft position during ground operations and on approach to landing. The amended STC applies to all 767-200, -300 and -400ER series aircraft.
