NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Sep 16, 2014) - New York City's mayor, Bill de Blasio, has declared September 15-21, 2014, as "Maker Week" to celebrate the arrival of the fifth annual World Maker Faire and the many events happening throughout the week hosted by the maker community of New York City, as well as the 75th and 50th World's Fairs anniversaries. The Maker Week events will assemble the innovators, scientists, artists, food makers, tinkerers, crafters, and engineers who live for sharing their love of making with others. The week will be capped off by the return of World Maker Faire, Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 20-21, at the New York Hall of Science in Queens.
