VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Nov. 25, 2015) - We understand the frustration of taxi users in Vancouver. Vancouver needs more taxis. The Vancouver Taxi Association has asked the City to introduce a flexible fleet of part-time City Cabs, administered by the VTA, to meet this need. It is also going to apply once again to the Passenger Transportation Board for more accessible taxis, which contrary to the previous view of the Board, are desperately required to service handicapped taxi users. Finally, the VTA is also going to apply to the Board for 200 flexible licences that will be available to meet unexpected demand situations such as skytrain outages, as happened yesterday.
