The itinerary runs through the heel of the boot in the region of Puglia, is blessed by both natural beauty and cultural treasures. Because the area is relatively flat and uncrowded, cycling through the region is easy as riders pass Byzantine shrines, Baroque cathedrals and secluded coastal corners.
